Fricken Hayfever
Slowly dribbling nose, eyes that feel like they’ve had grit rubbed in them, sore throat, itchy feeling in nose and sinuses–and worst of all, a headache that just won’t quite: pounding in both temples, gets worse over time, dizziness, the whole lot. Tremendous. I’ve tried the non-drowsy antihistamines, but no joy. I’ll have to go back and try the full nuclear option.
Yet another reason why having cancer sucks. When the headaches started a week ago, my first thought was ‘brain tumor’. And now I’ll have to mention it to the oncologist at the ROyal Marsden (going in on Thursday), and he’ll probably want to scan my head, which is a very irritating proccess involving an uncomfortable cage-thing that holds your head still.
